The Craft Cartel was proud to present: The Fabric of Resistance - Craftivism and developing local, sustainable economies - part of the Melbourne Social Forum 2009.

A brief history of radical craft activism, and the current resurgence of domestic crafts as a form of diy activism. Followed by a discussion around some of the issues of ethics and consumerisation in contemporary craft practice.  Free crafting resources were also on hand for the uninitiated.
